Historical Background
Damoh is a backward district where the educational scenario was not satisfactory in the past. After independence, significant efforts were made under projects like DPEP and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) to achieve universalization of elementary education.
Today, various educational institutions are functional in the district, providing education from primary to higher technical levels. The district focus is now on educational quality, infrastructure development, and ensuring accessibility for all children in the 5-14 age group.
